Hungarian car registrations up through October 2015

According to data released by Datahouse, in the first ten months of 2015, 76,844 new passenger cars and SUVs were registered, up 13.2 percent from the same month the year before (2014: 8,987 units).

Opel Szentgotthárd to continue growth in 2015

Opel closed an exceptional year in Hungary in 2014. The company reported on a 51.5 percent record growth in engine production, sold over 10,000 new cars in the country and launched the production of its third – small-sized petrol – engine family in Szentgotthárd.

According to Datahouse, in 2014, 83,413 new passenger cars and LCVs were registered in Hungary, up 23.4 percent from the year before. The most popular brands were Ford (10,840 units), Opel (10,195), Volkswagen (7,111), Skoda (6,901) and Suzuki (4735).
