Audi Hungaria Zrt. has created an experimental 5G network in a real production environment. The system will connect freshly manufactured cars rolling from the production line to the plant’s proving grounds
with the company’s production management and quality assurance systems.

Dunakeszi Járműjavító has been rumoured to be preparing for mass layoffs due to disruptions in the supply chain owing to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The company then refuted the claims soon after.

While the global sales of BMW AG decreased in the first quarter, the manufacturer sold over 25 percent more electric cars than the year before, and has further increased its revenues.

Despite also reporting on decreasing sales volumes, Volkswagen AG closed an impressive first quarter in 2022, doubling its profits year on year.

Volkswagen CEO Herbert Diess said the conflict in Ukraine could be threatening the natural gas supply of company’s Wolfsburg-based headquarters.

Despite challenging market conditions, Bosch reported on a significant revenue and profit increase in fiscal 2021.

ShareNow, a car sharing service also available in Budapest originally established by BMW and Mercedes Benz Mobility, is reported to be acquired by Stellantis' own car sharing service, Free2Move.

In the first four months of the year, close to 46,000 used import cars were registered in Hungary, 12.9 percent more than in the same period the year before.
