The newest Audi was presented with the heart from Győr

The Audi Q6 e-tron embodies the Audi-typical SUV style with the consistent further development of the e-tron-specific design. The new design philosophy and forward-looking technologies debuting in the model's interior represent a new chapter in electromobility for the four-ringed brand and make it possible to experience the "Technology of Progress" every day. With the Audi Q6 e-tron model series, electromobility has arrived at the company's headquarters, on the production lines of Ingolstadt, while the model's electric drives are manufactured in Győr, at Audi Hungaria.

The PPE platform developed jointly with Porsche and the E3 1.2 electronics architecture are defining milestones in the global expansion of Audi models with electric drivetrains, and are also the first signs of a comprehensive strengthening and rejuvenation of the model portfolio. The Audi Q6 e-tron supports the brand's promise that by 2027, Audi will have electric cars in all segments.

„The Audi Q6 e-tron, based on the new PPE platform, represents the next technological level of premium electromobility for our customers," said Gernot Döllner, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Audi AG, regarding the world premiere held at the headquarters in Ingolstadt.

„The PPE also proves how efficiently we can connect our competences within the Volkswagen Group, and thus continue to progress on the path of electromobility. PPE enables us to bring high-tech, mass-produced models to the market in various segments, thanks to which we can further electrify our model portfolio," continued Gernot Döllner.

From Győr to the world

Serial production of PPE drives began last year as a result of a cross-sectoral collaboration, in the framework of which Győr Technical Development, the Experimental Motor Production Center, Production Planning, Quality Assurance and production worked closely together. The production of PPE drives consists of the production of the stator and gear components, as well as the assembly of the drives. For the production of electric drives for PPE, the employees acquired new competencies and took part in targeted further training.

„In our engine production, let's live the transformation, of which the PPE project is a perfect example: we set up the production lines for the new drives in a former hall that housed the production of internal combustion engines, many colleagues moved from the world of internal combustion engines to the production area of the new drives. For them, the company provided a comprehensive training program", said Robert Buttenhauser, member of the board responsible for engine production at Audi Hungaria.

In Hungary, the distributor of the Audi Q6 e-tron is Porsche Hungaria.
