Mercedes-Benz Kecskemét will soon be engaged in the serial production of an all-electric model, the EQB, thanks to a HUF 50 billion investment. The EQB is the first of 6 brand new all-electric cars the German car maker is planning to expand its portfolio with by 2022, plant director Christian Wolff (pictured above) announced last week at a press conference.

Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. have made a two-year wage agreement with their employees.

Győr-based Audi Hungaria will manufacture body panels for the all-electric Audi e-tron GT.

Audi’s Hungarian unit installed brand-new machinery for the strength test of electric motors.

Market-leading manufacturer Suzuki have published new data on their 2020 sales volumes in Hungary.

Minister of foreign affairs and trade Péter Szijjártó held talks last week with BMW executives on the Bavarian car maker’s Hungarian production unit.

Büttner Kft., a tool sheet manufacturer with a number of customers in the automotive industry, have increased production capacity with a HUF 1 billion investment.

The Hungarian government has made an agreement with two Bavarian companies on investments in Hungary. One is automotive electronics producer Rosenberger, while the other is caravan manufacturer Knaus Tabbert.

The conflict between steel producer Dunaferr and trade unions reached new heights when the local leaders of Vasas Trade Union Confederation were suddenly dismissed.

The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association published new data on November car sales, which revealed declining overall sales but growing demand on luxury vehicles.
