Audi has announced that the new Q8 e-tron, the renamed and refreshed variant of the Audi e-tron SUV first unveiled back in 2018, is set to arrive in 2023. The model will be offered with power units manufactured at the automaker’s Győr-based plant.

The Audi Hungaria factory in Győr has been voted as the most attractive workplace in Hungary.

Soaring energy prices are resulting in increasingly drastic measures by public transport companies. Albeit mostly a tourist attraction, Budapest’s funicular as been forced to halt service until the spring.

In Debrecen, trolley bus service has been drastically reduced starting in mid-November, while the town’s trams service will be halted indefinitely from January. The environmentally friendly vehicles will be replaced by diesel buses to maintain operability.

Budapest’s public transport has reached the end of an era. On November 11th, the last Ikarus 435 and Ikarus 260 buses completed their final day of service. With 2,393 units in service throughout its lifetime, the latter has been the most successful model in the BKV bus fleet.
