Singapore-based Patec to invest EUR 5 million in Miskolc
Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, paid a visit to Singapore last week, where he held negotiations on investments in Hungary and Singapore. An agreement was also reached with Singapore-based supplier on the construction of a new production plant in Miskolc.
The Minister signed an agreement with Patec Automotive, according to which the Singapore-based automotive supplier will gradually relocate their Chinese production activities to Hungary.
As a first step, the company will build a new production site in Miskolc with a EUR 5 million investment, creating 200 new jobs.
As we reported earlier, at the new, 15,000-square-metre plant Patec will manufacture pressed components, including windscreen wipers and exhaust systems for the Volkswagen group.
