Int’l auto suppliers to benefit from gov’t’s investment promotion scheme

Next week, an agreement between the Hungarian government and the European Commission could finally be reached on the abolition of EU restrictions limiting government-funded investment promotion programmes, foreign minister Péter Szijjártó announced at a signing ceremony in Budapest this week.
CE Glass Üveg- és Gépipari Kft., a supplier of glass components for automotive applications mostly with export deliveries, will carry out a HUF 575.4 million investment, to be supported with a HUF 282.4 million subsidy from the Hungarian government.
Nidec GPM Hungary Kft., the Hungarian subsidiary of one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers, manufacturing parts and components for electric motors, has announced a HUF 574.5 million investment, which will be supported with a HUF 287.3 million government aid.
