Last week, a 24-hour strike was held at Continental’s Makó-based plant in protest against unfavourable working conditions. The collective agreement was unilaterally terminated by the employer back in summer 2020, while thus far no new terms have been successfully agreed upon by the management and the workers’ union.

Constructions on the new Mercedes-Benz press shop are now underway in Kecskemét. The investment will create 200 jobs, with the facility expected to launch production activities in 2022.
