South Korean Chokwang Paint has inaugurated a new plant in Heves County. Built with a HUF 3.8 billion investment, the facility will produce heat sink glue for automotive batteries.

Together with Győr-based Green Fox Academy, Audi Hungaria is launching a five-month, tuition-free junior programming course. Successful graduates will have a chance to join Audi Hungaria’s software development team.

Rába Járműipari Holding Nyrt. has published its Q3 financial report. The company’s revenues in this period has increased by 150 percent year on year, while its losses has decreased significantly despite inflationary pressure.

AVL’s new automotive technology centre right in the vicinity of ZalaZONE proving grounds was inaugurated last week. The facility will employ 150 engineers and test drivers.

According to a new agreement signed last week, Budapest-based autonomous technology developer aiMotive will now continue operating as a subsidiary of Stellantis, the world’s fourth largest automotive group.

Slovakia-based Inobat Auto has signed a declaration of intent with the Serbian government on the construction of a new manufacturing plant. The facility will produce batteries for electric vehicles, up to an annual capacity of 32 gigawatt-hours.

October marked the third consecutive month showing an increase in new car registrations in the European Union. Year on year, passenger car registrations grew by 12.2 percent.

Compared to the start of 2016, the number of electric charging stations in Hungary has seen more than a hundred-fold increase, and the EV charging network could see further growth in the near future.
