Nokian Tyres announced a new plant in Nagyvárad. Having closed its Russia-based plants earlier in the year, the Finnish tyre manufacturer has announced to build a new factory in Hungary with a €650 million investment, which will manufacture tyres for 6 million cars annually.

Suzuki is recalling certain Vitara and SX4 S-Cross models due to an issue that can result in poor braking performance. The recall issued due to a faulty brake booster valve is affecting 66,000 Hungarian customers.

Czech automaker Škoda reported on relative success in the first nine months of the year. Year on year, the manufacturer was able to increase production volumes at its local plants and deliver more units to dealerships.

In October, German car registrations grew by 17 percent year on year. SUVs accounted for nearly one-third of all cars sold, which means this segment is still continuing to gain popularity.
