The 2.5 millionth running gear has rolled off the production line at BPW-Hungária.

FHL Björn Hungary Kft. has carried out a HUF 950 million capacity expansion investment in Mór, Fejér County, and Tamási, Tolna County. The investment was necessitated by an almost 100% utilisation rate and a new order from the VW group.

A consortium led by Szolnok-based McHale Hungária has recieved a HUF 500 million support for the development of agricultural machine production. The company develops and manufactures balers in Hungary. The consortium partners – Szolnok-based Cabinworld-Stahl Kft., Lég-Tech-Szer Bt. and Derecske-based Optimit Hungária Kft. – have also received support to procure machinery and other equipment.

Infineon has inaugurated its new head facility in Cegléd. The semiconductors manufactured by the company play a crucial role in technologies connected to EVs, autonomous vehicles, solar cells and wind towers.

István Simon, the recently retired former CEO of plastic processer Simon Műanyagfeldolgozó, has received the Génius Lóci award for his outstanding work in talent promotion.

Endre Csonka, CEO of Első Pesti Malom Zrt., has been chosen as the new chairman of the Hungarian Association of Logistics, Procurement and Inventory Management (HALPIM), while university lecturer Attila Chikán has been appointed as co-chairman.

The average net wage in Hungary has been recorded at HUF 226,500.

According to a new government plan, the employment of retired persons will be subsidised, including the abolition of the social contribution tax and their personal income tax will be fixed at 15 percent.
