Workers’ strike at Audi Hungaria finally ends with agreement
The Audi Hungaria management and workers’ union finally reached an agreement on Wednesday afternoon after a nearly week-long strike at the German manufacturer´s Győr-based plant.
An agreement has been reached by the workers’ union and the Audi Hungaria management, with production set to resume at the plant from Thursday 6 a.m.
The strike began last Thursday, and has caused stoppages at Audi's Ingolstadt and Bratislava plants due to lack of engine supply from Győr.
The agreement, valid through January 2019 and March 2020, includes an 18% salary increase, loyalty and anniversary bonuses, optional employee benefits amounting to HUF 400,000 per year and a full weekend off guaranteed every month to all Audi Hungaria employees.
