Waberer’s report on growth in 2016 business year
Compared to the same period in the previous year, Waberer’s registered a 9.5 percent revenue increase (€572.4 million) and 12.1 percent growth in their EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation, and ammortisation) in 2016, signalling a stable performance by the company.
The growth is primarily a result of the Europe-wide increase in the demand for road transport and a successful growth strategy. Waberer’s regional contract logistics division performed exceptionally well: in 2016, the branch’s revenues grew by 10.9 percent.
In line with their corporate strategy, Waberer’s fleet grew by 3 percent from the previous year, and currently consists of 3,550 vehicles, with an average age of approximately two years.
