According to a statement released by Volánbusz earlier this week, the transport company decided to withdraw from the contract after Ikarus Egyedi Kft. failed to deliver the agreed quantity of Modulo buses even after the 90-day grace period following the original deadline of April 11th, 2018.

On Wednesday, BKV Zrt. also announced to withdraw from the contract with Ikarus Egyedi Kft. for the purchase of 30 Modulo articulated buses.

Ikarus Egyedi said on Monday that it is seeking bankruptcy protection so that it can address its payment difficulties and restructure, dailynewshungary.com reported.
