Vitara continues to drive Suzuki sales in Hungary
With a registration volume of 15,161 cars, Suzuki exceeded its 2016 sales results in 2017 and set a new record in Hungary, boosting its share on the local passenger car market to 13.04 percent as the leading manufacturer.
Expanding its portfolio with the new Ignis and the new Swift last year, Suzuki is enjoying a boost in sales thanks to the popularity of locally assembled models and continuously growing fleet sales.
According to the latest statistics published by Datahouse, Suzuki sold 15,161 passenger cars in Hungary last year, accounting for 13.04 percent of all cars (116,265 units) registered in the country in 2017.
The brand’s market share increased from 11.67 percent in 2016 to 13.04 percent in 2017, and is now the leading manufacturer in Hungary.
With a share of 22.61 percent, the Suzuki Vitara dominated the Hungarian SUV segment as well as the passenger car segment last year. Between 1 January 2017 and 31 December 2017, 8,786 sold 8,786 Vitaras in Hungary.
