On December 9, the management of Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. and the plant’s two trade unions, Vasas and MTSZSZ, finally reached an agreement in their wage talks.
The agreement could mean an increase of tens of thousands of forints per month for the Kecskemét plant’s workers..
The three parties have announced to issue a detailed statement about the terms of the agreement shortly.
Update (12 December 2016):
The management of the Kecskemét plant has since issued the following statement:
“Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft., Vasas Trade Union and the Free Trade Union of Engineers and Technicians (MTSZSZ) have held constrictive negotiations on wage increase.
Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. will ensure to all of its employees a wage increase of 10 percent on 1 April 2017, and another 10 percent increase in the following year (1 April 2018).

The management of Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary has managed to conclude an agreement on wages that is beneficial for all parties concerned,” it was reported by the company in a press release.
