Toyota manufactures 1 million engines in Poland
Toyota´s Polish plant (Toyota Motor Industries Poland, TMIP) has celebrated the production of the 1 millionth engine.
The 1 millionth power unit manufactured at the plant is a 2.0-litre diesel engine, to be fitted into a Toyota Avensis in Burnaston, Great Britain.

The engines manufactured in Poland are exported to Toyota's British, French, South Aftrican, Turkish and Japanese plants.
Currently 740 people work in two shifts at the plant, located near Jelcz-Laskowice. So far, Toyota has invested EUR 256 million in its Polish engine production unit.
