Toyo Ink opens cathode plant in Pest County

Toyo Ink SC Holdings Co., Ltd., the Japanese parent company of chemical specialist Toyo Ink Group, has opened its new subsidiary, Toyo Ink Hungary Kft., in Újhartyán, Pest County.
The new plant will manufacture and distribute Lioaccum carbon nanotube (CNT) dispersions, which have been developed specifically for lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles.
The HUF 7 billion investment to establish Toyo Ink Hungary Kft. has been part of a long-term business strategy plan valued at a total of ¥10 billion (€6.87 million) through 2026, which is aimed at strengthening the company’s global CNT dispersions network and establishing a reliable global supply chain.
