Thyssenkrupp presents autonomous vehicle developed by Hungarian engineers
Thyssenkrupp’s Budapest-based development centre has unveiled an autonomous vehicle and a “smart” electromechanical steering system developed by local engineers.
The high-tech development sector inside the automotive industry are attracting more and more investments in Hungary.
Thyssenkrupp already has a plant in Győr, and the construction of a €96 million greenfield plant is currently under way in Jászfényszaru.
The Budapest-based competence centre, employing nearly 500 engineers, supplies almost one quarter of all steering columns fitted in cars globally.
