Tatabánya copper foil plant to receive $28mln EBRD loan
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) announced a long-term loan for the construction of a plant in Tatabánya that will manufacture copper foil for electric vehicle batteries.
According to a decision announced in London earlier this week, EBRD will provide a $28 million loan for the Tatabánya-based investment of South Korean market-leading battery manufacturer Solus Advanced Materials – formerly known as Doosan.
The plant will be the first of its kind in Europe, producing ultra-thin copper foil for automotive batteries.
