Company director Ferenc Sólyom said that one of the most significant purchases was a computer-controlled machine tool capable of machining steel structures as large as 6m x 2m. The company received a 50 percent support for the investment project.

The director of the Hungarian company, under private ownership, added that in recent months the company's order volume has increased by 30 percent, meaning they could hire 50 new employees right away. The company is looking for locksmiths, welders, lathe operators and production engineers with experience in machine production.

As the company has also built a facility to provide accommodation for workers, ASG is also looking to hire from beyond the Hungarian border, added Ferenc Sólyom.

ASG used to be the central production unit for the coal mines of Tatabánya, but today, it is a company which exports 95 percent of its products, manufactured by a staff of 200 and 75 temporary agency workers. In 2013, the company registered an income of HUF 2.8 billion (EUR 9 million).

Among others, the company manufactures hydraulic parts for building machines, crane parts, steel structures for mining machines and underwater dredge-heads. The majority of ASG's products are unique parts made in small-series production. ASG's partners include Atlas-Copco, Caterpillar, Joy, Sandvik, Terex and Demag, added Sólyom.
