Suzuki to continue technological development at Esztergom plant during scheduled summer shutdown
Work will not stop completely at the Esztergom-based Suzuki plant even during the summer shutdown. The summer break allows the company to continue the technological development started earlier.
The summer shutdown scheduled for August, a widespread practice among OEMs around the world, will not only allow the company to take care of its usual maintenance works but also to continue the plant modernization project started two years ago and expected to be finished by the end of 2016.
Development is also necessitated by high production numbers thanks to the success of the Vitara, a key driver of sales for Suzuki.
