In March, more than 11,000 new cars were registered in Hungary, making it the strongest month so far for passenger car sales in 2022. Hungarian passenger car sales were led by Toyota in the third month of the year, economic daily Világgazdaság reported earlier in the week, quoting data from Datahouse.

According to the latest sales data, March car sales in Hungary fell short of the same month in the previous two years. This year’s results show a 10.3 percent fall from March 2021 and a 2.8 percent decline from the same month in 2020.

With 1,537 units sold and a market share of 13.78 percent, Toyota dethroned Suzuki in March as the highest-selling brand in Hungary – 1,278 units were only enough for second place.

In third place and with a large gap to the frontrunners we find Ford with 869 registrations.
