Surprise announcement: Audi Q4 to be manufactured at Audi AG’s Győr plant
Audi have announced to start manufacturing the Audi Q4 at the group’s Győr-based unit from 2019, to be preceded by further expansion at the vehicle plant. Adding the assembly of the new model will create new jobs at Audi Hungaria, where the Q4 will follow the production launch of the Q3 at the Győr-based plant.
“A new Q-model will be integrated into our current production network, further increasing our competitiveness in a highly important segment,” Prof. Dr. Hubert Waltl, Audi AG board of directors member responsible for production and logistics, said.
With the Audi Q4 the brand is set to make its entry into the segment of Compact Utility Vehicles (CUV) in 2019.
