SK Innovation plans new investment in Hungary
Hungary enjoys the full confidence of South Korea when it comes to new technologies, which is why SK Innovation has announced to build a new, 430,000sqm battery plant in Komárom.
The South Korean battery manufacturer will build its second battery plant in Hungary with a $845 million investment, British news agency Reuters reports.
The investment amounts to HUF 239 billion in local currency, and creates 1,000 jobs in Komárom.
Construction is set to begin in March, while production is expected to start in late-2021 or early-2022.
