Siemens: Hungarian power industry to benefit from Paks II project
The development of the Paks II nuclear power station would allow the local power supplier industry to see a major expansion in Hungary, which similarly to the automotive industry could bring significant growth opportunities for the country´s economy, Árpád Goszták, economy director for Siemens Zrt. Power and Gas Zrt´s Budapest plant, said this week.
Although there is little chance for relocating the complete manufacture of 1,200 MegaWatt turbines to Hungary, the development and production of components would be a viable option, he added.
