Schaeffler launches new investment project in Szombathely

Schaefller has announced plans to invest more than HUF 5 billion in its Szombathely plant.
The construction of a 6,200sqm logistics centre and 2,200sqm complex, housing offices, changing rooms, a restaurant and conference hall suitable for international events, started at the end of November, and is scheduled to conclude by mid-2023, the automotive parts supplier’s management said in an announcement earlier this week.
The German parts manufacturer inaugurated its latest investment in the West Hungarian town, a second manufacturing unit, back in September.
