Samsung in talks with seven potential suppliers thanks to promotion by HIPA
Samsung’s announcement made this Tuesday about building a new battery plant in Göd, Hungary, can also have a positive effect on the local supplier industry.
Samsung’s latest investment project in Göd will most likely be highly beneficial for local suppliers, as the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) has approved and submitted recommendations for 117 Hungarian firms.
11 of these firms have received a promoted status, meaning an increased chance to become a supplier of the South Korean firm’s new battery plant in Göd.
According to Róbert Ésik, the president of HIPA, negotiations are already under way with seven companies.
