Record number of participants at MVM Energy Race
More than 60 vehicles in seven categories lined up for the start at the 4th MVM Energy Race, held last Saturday at the Chain Bridge in Budapest, Hungary. The aim of the event series is to bring emission-free energy production and consumption into focus.
The 4th Energy Race lined up cars and motorbikes powered by solar energy, electricity, compressed air and human power while producing zero emissions and noise.

The event saw a record amount of participants this year: in seven categories over 60 vehicles lined up for the race. The competition for alternative drive vehicles lined up development teams, including teams from various universities, who brought their own designs, converted cars and prototypes.
Several celebrities, musicians and sportsmen, also visited the event to contribute to popularising sustainable development.
The MVM Energy Race was brought to life by the MVM Group in 2011. The first race was held in Budapest. The MVM Energy Race was the first competition for vehicles with alternative drive to be held in a European capital.
