The project will feature a 'Semi Knocked Down' process in which RTD will supply Raba, manufacturer of purpose-built and military vehicles, with the four-door, 6/7-seat cabs and the MIDLUM chassis, while the carriers and axles will be manufactured and fitted by the partner at its facilities. The rest of the equipment (tanks, pumps, etc.) will be sourced from a local coachbuilder.

A prototype of this fire truck was delivered to the customer to perform demanding trials and was very positively tested and evaluated by the Hungarian Ministry of the Interior's Crisis Management Department.

The trucks will be branded “RABA” and will benefit from a high local added value.

Last year, Rába Holding increased its revenues by 12.2 percent, to HUF 47.5 billion.
