Rába concludes business partnership with Egyptian bus manufacturer
Rába is about to set its foot in a new target market in North-Africa. The Hungarian company is supplying bus axles to the Egyptian truck and bus manufacturer EAMCO (Engineering Automotive Manufacturing Company).
In line with its strategic objectives, Rába is about to open a new target market in Egypt. With its nearly 90 million inhabitants and a well-developed urban transportation sytem, it is likely to provide additional marketing opportunities for its products, Rába reported on its website earlier this week.

As an initial step, the company is going to supply complete axle sets for 145 buses for its Egyptian partner, EAMCO, in 2015. The deliveries are currently under way, and the first products have already been installed in the vehicles.
The axles will be fitted in 12-metre long, air-conditioned intercity buses developed by EAMCO and operating mostly on the streets of Cairo and Alexandria. During the product development phase, Rába Development Institute provided on-site technological support to ensure the proper installation of the driveline elements, including axles, Rába reported in a statement.
The company’s extensive experience in different vehicle applications, gained in different parts of the world and a deep understanding of customer needs helped Rába to set its footprint on a promising new market with an established and reputable local business partner.
Rába and EAMCO have also signed a Letter of Intent in order to investigate how to convert this project based cooperation into a long-term strategic partnership n the Egyptian bus market and the extension of the collaboration to other vehicle applications.
