Javier Gonzáles Pareja, CEO of Bosch Hungary, said at the ceremony that the Bosch group has long-term plans in the country and Hungary is a strategic base in its global innovation and R&D activities.

As the group's largest power tool plant in Europe, Robert Bosch Power Tool Kft. has a key role in the company's efforts.

Pareja said the project involved a number of product lines, including paint-sprayers, rotating woodworking tools, multifunctional battery-powered hand tools, percussion drills and sanders.

As part of the project the company expanded the capacity of batteries used in high-performance machine tools and built a special measuring laboratory. Bosch has been present in Hungary since 1899.

In 2014, the Bosch group, present in Hungary with nine subsidiaries, booked a total turnover of HUF 825 billion. The company's turnover from trading in Hungary, excluding in-house trading between the firm's local subsidiaries, amounted to HUF 183 billion.
