The new, 12,000-square-metre production hall cost HUF 2 billion (EUR 6.8 million), supported with a HUF 1 billion (EUR 3.2 million) aid.

90 percent of the company's products, manufactured in equal share for the automotive and electronics industries, are exported to Western Europe.

The company is an employer of 1,030 people. Wilhelm Rambold, the owner of Prec-Cast, said that the company has set to expand the Sátoraljaújhely-based plant with a HUF 30 billion (EUR 100 million) investment, creating 300 new jobs as a result.

The first phase of the project, including a 5,600-square-metre logistics hall and office building was completed in 2013, while the company has now inaugurated a 12,000-square-metre production hall as well.

In 2013, the company had a registered turnover of HUF 14.4 billion.

Rambold said the development project was necessitated by an increasing market demand and the German parent's decision to relocate more production capacity to and introduce more products at the Hungarian subsidiary.
