Poppe+Potthoff expands production capacity in Ajka
The automotive supplier has expanded its Ajka plant with a HUF 3.9 billion investment, supported by a HUF 1 billion grant for technological development.
Poppe+Potthoff is a manufacturer of common rail systems and high-pressure diesel injection pipes for car makers. The company's electronically controlled high-pressure diesel – common rail – injection systems are delivered to several well-known car manufacturers, such as Daimler and Renault, and their suppliers, e.g. Delphi.
As a result of the investment, the company has increased its headcount by 50, and is now an employer of 300.
The company, operating in the Ajka Industrial Park since 2003, manufactures common rail systems and injection pipes on a 5-ha leased property.
Poppe+Potthoff Holding has 14 locations across nine countries. The Group's income exceeds EUR 180 million. In 2013, the Ajka-based subsidiary's net income amounted to EUR 37 million.
