Parts shortage forces Audi plant in Győr to halt production
Audi’s Hungarian production units are halting production next week due to a global parts shortage.
Upon inquiry from Hungarian news site Telex, Audi’s communications department confirmed that due to a shortage of semiconductors, the German car manufacturer is stopping production activities next week (week 25) at most of their production units worldwide.
The most recent shortage is caused by a complete lockdown in Malaysia due to an outbreak of Covid19 cases.
