Opel kicks off era of 3-cylinder turbo engines at Szentgotthárd
Engine production has reached a new milestone at Opel’s Szentgotthárd plant, in 2020 the car maker will begin the production of PSA-developed 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engines, the plant’s spokesperson said at a press conference.
Zoltán Kaszás added that the new, 1.2-litre engine will be made in 100bhp and 130bhp performance variants, while maximum production capacity is expected to top 350,000 units a year.
