Opel expecting success from Szentgotthárd-built petrol engines
Preparations on the production and assembly lines are currently under way at a fast pace for the manufacturing of Opel’s new 1.2-litre petrol engine, which is scheduled to begin at the end of the year, Opel Szentgotthárd Kft. spokesman Zoltán Kaszás, said.
The new power unit will be integrated in the existing production, in parallel with current engine variants.
Kaszás emphasized: the future without doubt relies on this new turbo engine - the most important petrol unit of the PSA Group - thanks to which the new owners have secured the future of the Szentgotthárd plant.
