NNG wins European Business Award for Growth Strategy

The 2013/14 European Business Awards (EBA) winners were announced at a gala event in Athens, Greece earlier this week. NNG was declared as winner in one of Europe’s toughest business competitions. In a previous voting round the company also won the National Public Champion title of Hungary.

Global navigation solution provider NNG added yet another award to their trophy list: a jury of influential European decision makers awarded NNG with this year’s European Business Award in the BP Target Neutral Growth Strategy of the Year category for its remarkable accomplishments and growth achieved in the past 18 months, reported NNG on its website.

The award ceremony in Athens marked the culmination of a voting process which started with the applications of over 17,000 European businesses. 100 were nominated Ruban d’Honneur recipients – the finalists for the ten award categories. In January 2014 NNG was also chosen as National Public Champion of Hungary in EBA’s public voting phase.

“Being recognized with the Best Growth Strategy among European companies is a validation of our vision and business strategy in the automotive industry that we’ve been consistently following since 2008. Our decision to develop affordable navigation solutions for all vehicle categories has changed the face of the industry. The award proves that NNG is not just a Hungarian success icon but even on a European scale an exceptionally fast growing company,” says Péter Balogh, Co-Founder and CEO of NNG.

The low-cost and ultra-low-cost navigation solutions introduced by NNG to the global automotive industry are rooted in the company’s shift in strategy in 2008 as a response to market changes. Most industry players thought that navigation will remain an expensive extra for premium vehicles, but NNG set a new trend.

Today, NNG offers navigation solutions for 186 countries in 50 languages – a wider range of content than is available from any other single source, and delivers customized solutions for every vehicle segment, from high-level to entry-level cars.

“Winning a prestigious European Business Award confirms that we have taken the right path to secure a bright future for the company: NNG is quickly growing and gaining ground all around the world despite the growth challenges the automotive industry has been facing over the last few years. We are on the right track to make our vision, ‘Navigation for All’ come alive,” adds David Wiernik, Co-Founder and President of NNG.
