NI Hungary enters partnership with University of Szeged

The University of Szeged (SZTE) and NI Hungary Kft., Hungarian subsidiary of global market-leading developer of automated systems National Instruments Corporation, have signed a strategic partnership agreement on education and research cooperation.

László Csaba Ábrahám, CEO of NI Hungary Kft., said the university and the company will create teams consisting of medics, engineers and IT professionals to develop new solutions for medical use.

NI Hungary Kft. is also planning to build an open laboratory in Szeged, which would allow local SMEs with ideas for new developments to perform measurements using the company's vast array of nearly 3,000 types of tools and software solutions, the CEO added.

The partnership ranges from software development and measuring technology to software quality assurance. The cooperation will also benefit SZTE, as under the framework of the agreement, the university's students will be able to take part in 4- and 6-week internships at the company.

National Instruments Corporation, established in 1976, founded their first foreign production site in 2001 in Debrecen, Hungary. NI Hungary Kft., a manufacturer of electronics products, has over 1,000 employees in 13 different areas of development and production.
