New investment deal to strengthen Hungary’s ever-growing role in battery industry
Technology-leading Chinese group Huayou Cobalt could set up Central Europe’s most innovative and sustainable cathode plant in Hungary, László Palkovics, Minister of Innovation and Technology, announced earlier in the week.
A declaration of intent has been signed by Huayou Cobalt representatives and the ministry in Budapest.
The investment is set to add a new segment of the battery industry into Hungary's continuously growing portfolio in EV-related manufacturing.
