Neutron research facility to be built in Martonvásár
The world’s first, particle collision-based, compact neutron research laboratory will be built in Martonvásár, Fejér County, with a HUF 1.8 billion investment, to be supported with a HUF 1.3 billion aid from European Union funds.
Csaba Pétermann, CEO of consortium leader Mirrotron Kft., said at the facility’s groundbreaking ceremony on Friday that their development partner is the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Centre for Energy Research.
The new facility is set to potentially participate in R&D programmes focusing on automotive applications as well.
