Mol to boost rubber bitumen production at Zala refinery
Mol NyRt. Zalai Finomító, the oil company’s refinery in Zala county, has plans to boost its rubber bitumen production, a manufacturing activity processing polluting automotive tyres, from 5,000 tons to 20,000 tons, the CEO of Mol Hungary announced earlier this week in Zalaegerszeg.
Originally founded in 1952, the refinery has seen significant changes in the last decades, Sándor Fasimon said at the ceremony celebrating the plant’s 65th anniversary.
Last year, the Zala plant's production volume exceeded 155,000 tons, 90 percent of which was exported.
