Following similar measures taken by Audi Hungaria in Győr, Opel in Szengtotthárd and Magyar Suzuki in Esztergom, Mercedes-Benz today also announced to shut down production at its Kecskemét plant to protect its employees' health in face of the crisis.

Giving in to increasing health and safety risks, the management of Magyar Suzuki Corporation has finally decided to shut down the Esztergom plant for the period between March 23rd and April 3rd, the Japanese automaker announced earlier today.
