Mercedes-Benz: Hungarian sales drop rate lower than global decrease from 2021
In Q1 2022, Mercedes-Benz Cars sold 501,600 units globally, 15 percent less than in the same period in 2021. Hungarian sales saw a somewhat less significant decrease.
There continues to be strong demand on Mercedes-Benz cars despite the unstable geopolitical situation and microchip shortage.
In the first three months of the year, models from the top segment showed a 1 percent increase to 76,200 units, while the sales volume of electric models tripled to 67,800 units.
In Hungary, 1,295 new Mercedes-Benz cars were sold in the first quarter of 2022, including the V-Class luxury van - this represented a 5.7 percent drop from the same period in the previous year.
