MAJOSZ president: Hungarian suppliers await BMW factory launch
Hungarian automotive parts manufacturers are expecting further growth in the sector with the launch of the new BMW plant in Debrecen, the president of the Association of Hungarian Vehicle Component Manufacturers (MAJOSZ) said this Thursday at a conference held in Gyöngyös preceding the association’s annual general meeting.
Listing the sector’s results from fiscal 2018, József Nyírő reminded that the Hungarian automotive industry generated HUF 8,500 billion in revenues, contributing to the overall performance of the Hungarian economy last year by one tenth of the country’s total GDP.
In addition, its 25 percent share in export volumes also made it stand out in export.
