Working from a shared budget, the two companies will create a technology centre which provides the conditions necessary for laser machining and 3-D printing at the Bicske-based foundry.

Innocast CEO Bernd Heinrich told Napi Gazdaság that this is still a pioneer technology in the metalworking industry, and one of its great advantages is that a unique part can be manufactured immediately.

The CEO added that the technology is already used in the automotive industry for the production of engine parts, but experts say soon it can be introduced in the medical, aviation and space industries as well.

The German company will soon be relocating part of its production and development activities to Bicske, reported Napi Gazdaság.

Hungarian-owned Magyarmet's annual income amounts to HUF 2.5 billion.
