Kecskemét team wins efficiency race in Finland: 2,885 km on a single litre of petrol
Kecskemét has won an eco-marathon race in Finland. The Megaméter, designed and built by Team GAMF from Kecskemét College, has won the title with a history going back to 40 years for the third time.
A heavy wind at the race, held on August 29–30 in Finland, was not favourable for the teams and the third event had to be cancelled due to the weather.

The team from Kecskemét ended the first race with a fuel economy of 2,827 km/l, while the second race brought an improvement to 2,885 km/l. Due to an unexpected early finish, the team was left with no opportunity for further improvement.
The GAMF team set their best result in 2013 in Nokia, Finland, a consumption of 3,082 km/l, and joined the exclusive club of best performers who were able to achieve a fuel economy of over 3,000.
The Hungarian team still managed to beat their Finnish, Swedish, Belgian and Polish competitors and brought home the cup to Kecskemét College for the third time.
