Kecskemét plant to be driven by Mercedes-Benz EV production ramp-up

Mercedes-Benz is currently preparing its global production network for the manufacturing of new all-electric models, a campaign that will also affect the car maker’s plant in Kecskemét.
Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. launched the series production of the first Hungarian-built all-electric model, the EQB compact SUV, in 2021.
The next battery-powered models are scheduled to enter production in 2024, one on the compact MB.EA (Mercedes-Benz Electric Architecture), while the rest on the entry-level MMA (Mercedes Modular Architecture) platform.
