Jász-Plasztik Kft. invests HUF 2.3 billion to develop waste recovery activities

Jászberény-based Jász-Plasztik Kft. is investing HUF 2.3 billion in the development its waste recovery innovation base.

The investment project, to be completed by the end of the year, is supported with a HUF 1.2 billion non-refundable EU support, and will create a total of 63 jobs at the company's Nyíregyháza, Nagyréde and Jászapát locations.

The company is set to develop waste recovery activities at its R&D base and test new technologies. The developments will be ready to use in the processing industry not only at Jász Plasztik Kft. but also through fulfilling R&D assignments from other companies – mostly related to waste recovery.

The company will purchase and install equipment for regranulate test production and plastic injection moulding, the production of injection moulding tools and the recycling of lead waste and acid batteries.

Established in 1994, over the years Jász-Plasztik Kft.'s plastic processing and tool manufacturing activities has been expanded by battery production and other manufacturing and service activities.

Every year, the company collects thousands of tons of plastic and battery waste for recovery – a volume expected to increase thanks to the investment.

According to public company data, Jász-Plasztik Kft.'s revenues exceeded HUF 108.2 billion in 2014, up from 101.9 billion in 2013. In the same period, the company's net profit increased from 4.4 billion HUF in 2013 to 7.2 billion HUF in 2014.
