Japan largest Asian investor in Hungary
“170 Japanese companies provide employment for 35,000 Hungarians, which is one of the reasons why it is important to maintain the dynamics of the development of Hungarian-Japanese relations,” Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Thursday in Tokyo.
Mr. Szijjártó explained: “Japanese companies comprise the seventh largest investor community in Hungary, and the largest number of investments in Hungary with Asian origin have come from Japan”.
“Japanese enterprises significantly contribute to the future competitiveness of the Hungarian economy with their advanced technologies, and as a result it is not by chance that Hungary has concluded strategic cooperation agreements with six Japanese corporations”, he added.
